Senior REACT (JS) Developer

Into our 6th year, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Javascript Developer. 

 

You will play a vital role, bringing your experience, sharing your ideas and skills with the team to create together the best bespoke solutions for our clients.

 

As part of our in-house team, you will be self-motivated to organise your own workload, be hands-on and encouraged to create your best work in an agile and collaborative environment.

 

The Role:

  • Working closely with Back End Engineering and Product Teams to create enhancements to our web applications and websites 
  • Collaborating with a team of developers to design end-to-end, industry-leading systems and solutions 
  • Seeing a product from conception to market by working closely with the Product team and contributing to the feedback loop.
  • Taking full ownership of the Front End codebase and implementing coding standards that promote best practices and consistency. 
  • Developing new features that conform to acceptance criteria set by the product team. 
  • Investigating and identifying fixes to bugs that have been raised by the QA team.
  • Collaborating to ensure this multi-faceted system’s delivery is to internal specifications and requirements. 
  • Staying up to date with new technology and willing to bring new ideas to the team 
  • Mentoring a junior team member in their development within this field

 

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS(SCSS) and Javascript(ES6)
  • Awareness of established Javascript libraries/frameworks and experience in developing web applications in React, Vue.js or Angular
  • Experience in developing high-quality and responsive web applications
  • Experience in using and to some extent co-developing RESTful Web Services and APIs
  • Fluent with Version Control (GIT)
  • Experience with cross-browser and device testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Nice to haves

  • Experience with mentoring Junior developers
  • Experience in Unit and Integration Testing
  • Experience in building applications with React & NodeJS
  • Experience with working in an Agile environment
  • Experience in working with Figma alongside a design team

 

3+ years (Javascript) Experience required 

 

Our offices are based in Northern Design Centre in Gateshead. We are open to providing a flexible working environment and the ability to work from home.
